Our Story

Annie Creamcheese was founded by Garrett Bauman and Annie Lee. The name Annie Creamcheese was a joint effort, combining the name of Garrett's mother's favorite store in Las Vegas (Suzy Creamcheese) and partner Annie. In 2001, Annie Creamcheese was born solely as a website, which quickly progressed to eBay and then in 2002, Garrett and Annie began setting up every Sunday at 4 AM in the Georgetown Flea Market. In 2004, they opened their first location in Arlington, Virginia. It was only 400 sq. ft (about the size of a master bedroom). Designer Nanette Lepore was the first celebrity to visit Annie Creamcheese, which started a trend to be followed by some of the biggest names in fashion and entertainment. Their first write-up was in the Washington Post in 2004. In 2005, with the help of friends, they brought their love for fashion and vintage to the district by opening Annie Creamcheese Georgetown. After a few years of countless press write-ups and both national and international accolades, they decided to expand with the help of a new partner, Dr. Michael Ternisky, a prominent Mclean, Virginia dentist by opening Annie Creamcheese Las Vegas. Both locations have been voted 'Best of' for their respective cities year after year.

Annie Creamcheese Las Vegas was designed by Garrett and won the Nevada HOSPY Award for Retail Store Design of the Year in 2008. In 2011, Garrett was ready to move back to Washington and the Las Vegas Store was closed. Most recently, Annie Creamcheese has been featured on Keeping up with the Kardashians, MTV's the Real World, A&E's Storage Wars, Discovery Channel's POP NATION, as well as other international television shows. Due to so much media coverage, Annie Creamcheese has been approached for a reality TV show, that is still under debate! In the meantime, Annie Creamcheese is planning the opening of our newest store, Annie Creamcheese Los Angeles.
